The way I understand it is it’s an affiliate program that you join, in order to sell/promote a product that compliments your niche MLM marketing (the niche you’ve chosen to go with to target a specific market that would find your MLM products/company/marketing plan a good solution for their needs)
Let’s take two examples here:
Niche Affiliate Marketing Program for MLM Customers
Say you’re in an MLM that has skin care products as its main product range.
Now you’ve had wonderful results with the product- your stretchmarks have almost
completely gone as a result of you using the stretchmark cream.
You decide to focus on attracting product customers that would like to remove stretchmarks.
You build your sales funnel complete with lead capture page, thank you page, theme based blog about stretchmarks.
You start driving traffic using social media marketing and syndicating your content across the internet.
Now you decide you’d like to monetize on all these leads you’re getting, so on the thank you page you invite your leads to take a look at a niche affiliate marketing program to include in your sales funnel.
You do a bit of research and find something you believe your niche traget market would like.
The product is an E-book called ‘How to Permanently Remove Stretchmarks”.
It costs $29.95 and, as an affiliate, you get $14.95 per referred sale.

Here’s an example if you’re attracting MLM distributors:
Your capture page and blog is all about how you teach prospective MLMers your special marketing system that helps them generate leads online.
Your niche is social media marketing, specifically how to use Facebook to attract leads.
Your theme based blog is all about tips and techniques for using Facebook for Business and you have also taken a course with Mari Smith- the Facebook Guru.
Now, Mari has an affiliate program attached to her course. You sign up as an affiliate and decide to promote the course on your blog and thank you page.
You’ll put the Mari Smith Facebook banner on your blog and thank you page (embedded with your affiliate code of course) and every time a lead buys Mari’s course, you get a percentage of the sale (commission).
The great benefit of this is that you are making money through your affiliate marketing program, as you provide solutions for your niche market.
It’s also known as a funded proposal. (You are being funded to propose more offers- namely your MLM- to this prospect.)

You just go to clickbank.com or paydotcom.com, enter in the keyword phrase (in the search box) and scour the marketplace to see which products would suit your niche market.
Join up as an affiliate, grab your unique affiliate link and start promoting the banners, links and videos on your website, in your emails or on your thank you page!

Quite simply because you need to make money upfront on all the leads you generate!
