MLM Sales Funnel: Important Components

April 10th, 2010 Tania Williams View Comments

MLM Sales Funnel: Components

Here are the major components:

1. Your Domain Name

2. Squeeze Page

3. Sales Page (Optional) Some MLM companies WILL NOT allow you to name their Company or Products. Your “sales page ” might be the emails you send out. You’d use a sales page when promoting affiliate or your own products, not your MLM products.

4. Blog/Website (self hosted and unique)

5. Autoresponder Email System

6. Web of Content  (including videos)- for traffic generation (the bait that attracts the fish!)

1. Domain Name
Its best to get the .com! Go Daddy is a good option to register your domain name.

Use a keyword rich domain name with a benefit in it that talks to your target market. For example www.sinus-wellness.com talks to the target market of sinusitus, and has the benefit made very clear within the domain name.

Other benefit loaded domain name examples are: www.positivehealth.com, www.skin-you-love.com, www.videomarketingqueen.com, www.ppcdomination.com, www.getprospectsformula.com…you get the idea.

Register your domain for 2 years (renewable). Google ranks these domains higher than 1 year domain registrations (it assumes you are a more serious business person- in for the long haul!)

Read this article on choosing and registering the right domain name.

2.  Lead Capture Pages

This is the entry point of your online MLM sales funnel. Your prospects details are captured here  so you can continue the relationship with them.

www.blinkweb.com and www.weebly.com are two excellent easy-to-use, and FREE resources to create capture pages.

Ideally you’d want to use self-hosted lead capture pages (Google indexes these and you can track using Google analytics).

For that you’ll need to use an html editor (www.Nvu.com is a free tool) and FTP your files up from your computer to your host server,  using an FTP client like Filezilla.

You’ll need to learn a bit of coding.

If you’re not keen to do that (and I don’t blame you!)- find a geek and outsource it!

Remember: If you use a free service like Blinkweb or Weebly, you’ll need to REDIRECT your domain name to that server, where they host your lead capture page.

If you use your own hosting, you’ll just add your unique domain name to your C Panel. (In your public_html folder)

You can have many capture pages for different sub niches (or micro niches) within your niche. This is a good idea, as each page can be customised to that particular micro niche’s needs.

e.g. Constipation in toddlers blog post has a link to your lead capture page made for parents with toddlers having constipation.

You might give them a general free report, which also has a chapter in it on dealing with constipation in toddlers. They’ll become a lead and your auto email series can talk to their specific issues- dealing with their kids constipation.

Your “constipation in the elderly” blog post could lead them to a capture page that talks specifically to your elderly leads.

They might also get the same free report as the parents of the toddlers (above)- as it also has a chapter in it on the elderly. They will become a lead and enter your funnel. You can then tailor make your email series to their specific needs and concerns.

Both types of leads will ultimately be encouraged to buy your MLM Product (which helps relieve constipation in everyone- from toddler,to the elderly- heck, even to dogs!)

You get the idea.

You might also create a lead capture page that brings leads in that are interested in an affiliate product you are promoting.

If you like, you can then send those leads to your affiliate product sales page (your affiliate URL).

The nice thing is, you captured the lead independently of that affiliate programme- and that lead is yours (not the affiliate programme owners!)

Read this article called: Squeeze Pages: Vital Component of MLM Marketing Systems “for 10 tips On Making Cool, Authentic and Converting Squeeze pages.

Especially what you need to have on them, the do’s and dont’s and the best practices for maximum conversion.

3. Sales Pages

MLM Online Sales Funnel

The sales page comes in if you’d like your prospects to be moved from becoming a lead into a buyer.

The best time to put your prospect onto a sales page is immediately after they become a lead (opted in).

You have their attention and they’ve just said “yes” to you by giving their name and email address.

You’d usually not make a sales page about your MLM products/services.

Some MLM companies give generic (customisable) squeeze page, sales page and mini site templates.

Once again- beware: You’ll look similar to the others and Google wont index them.

You also need to ask yourself: “Will I be able to track these pages?”

The sales page is really useful when you have your own products/services that you are promoting as part of your funnel.

So in addition to seeing your MLM Company or products as a potential back end, you are also able to offer your leads related products they might be interested in.  (like E book, coaching services, home study course, webinars, membership sites etc).

Of course, the secret to a good sales page is the copy and the ability to have a  “1 click upsell”.

Your copy must be compelling enough to get those “fence sitters” to take action.

We go into good copywriting in this blog in much greater detail.

Re the “1 click upsell”- this means you need to have an integrated payment gateway/shopping basket that allows your customers to simply add items to their cart (with one click) after you’ve presented them with an upsell (higher priced item than your first offer).

This way they don’t have to enter their credit card details again- (which lowers conversions.)

Other aspects of your sales page should include:

* Bonuses,
* testimonials,
* proof (of the claims you’ve made) and
* a money back guarantee  always gives an added “push” to the buyer-  reducing their risk and removing any lingering obstacles to buying.

Using a video makes the sales page convert more.

4. Your  Blog

Online MLM Sales Funnel

This is your “home” or central hub.

Its where your prospects get to know you and get to like you.

Most prospects will visit your blog before they opt into your squeeze page or make a purchase from your sales page. It’s where they get “warmed up”!

Its also a stand alone lead generation technique- as blogs are indexed by Google.

If you get your  niche keywords right, you can rank high up for blog posts and generate search engine traffic.

You can also syndicate your blog (plug it into the social networks) for more exposure and get viral exposure that way too! WordPress blogs are ideally suited to this.

There are many blog platforms (Squarespace, Blogger etc), but a self hosted WordPress blog is the best for search engine rankings as well as content syndication.

You can get free hosting at WordPress.com for your WordPress blog, but then you don’t have full control over the blog.

WordPress can delete your blog if they think its inappropriate- and they do not like MLM Blogs!

Its well worth the $6.95 (or thereabouts) monthly hosting fee you’ll pay to privately host your blog at webhosting services like Hostgator or Bluehost.

For those just starting out, you might enjoy this article Blogging For Dummies which outlines the basics of WordPress Blogging.

5. Autoresponder Email Marketing System

MLM Online Sales Funnel

Email Marketing

This is where you use email software to send automated (and manual) email messages to your leads and buyers.

Once your prospcet has entered the sales funnel as a lead, they can be immediately placed onto your leads list.

They have given you permission to continue marketing to them.

So you send them pre designed auto emails (and weekly time sensitive manual emails) that:

* Continue to build the relationship with them

* Send them to your blog posts

* Put offers infront of them (including your affiliate and MLM products)

* Invite them to conference calls or webinars you offer

* Keeps you visible and in the prospects mind

Its an invaluable follow up tool, but there’s an art to email marketing.

It must be studied and done correctly so that you do not get flagged as a spammer or have your prospects unsubscribe.

Constantly placing offers in front of your leads and buyers will not endear them to you! You need to be entertaining, enlightening and educational (i.e. give value) in your emails.

I-contact, Oprius and Aweber are excellent software programmes. They start at around $9.95 per month and increase in price the more subscribers you have.

(You want to be paying more!!!)

I personally use I contact because you do not need a double opt in, to generate a lead on your list. (Improves conversions)

The great thing about these software programmes is you can go into your email software back office and easily create opt in forms to put on your squeeze page and blog.

When a prospect visits your blog and optsin, they are automatically put onto your emailing list- and if you’ve set up your autoresponder, they’ll start getting their emails immediately, at timed intervals.

You can also track the number of opens, clicks and bounces.

This way you can continually test new subject headlines to improve your open rate.

The Email Marketing section of this blog includes what to write in your emails, how often to write, when to place offers (and how), how to set up an autoresponder series and what you should and should not be doing in your email campaigns.

And much much more, of course!

6. Your “web of content” to drive traffic to your Sales Funnel

MLM Online Sales Funnel

Traffic Traffic Traffic!

There’s no point having an online MLM sales funnel if you cannot get traffic to it!

And not only traffic, but pre qualified traffic- people interested in what you have to offer.

Your web of content is your “point of contact” marketing.

Its where your prospect will come across an article, or a forum post, a video or a blog post, or a note at your FaceBook, or your URL posted at Twitter (retweeted) and be led ultimately to your capture page (perhaps via your blog).

There are many methods and places to place your content all over the internet so that your interested prospects find you.

Here are some examples:

Article Marketing

Squidoo

Hub Pages

Ezine Articles

Your Blog

Social Media Marketing

FaceBook

Twitter

YouTube

Social Bookmarking sites like Digg, Delicious, Reddit, Stumbleupon, Misterwong

LinkedIn

And Content Syndication is where you link up all your content and disperse your blog posts across all the major social media marketing sites!

There is an art and a skill to getting qualified online traffic to your sales funnel.

Online MLM Sales Funnel: Why Create Your Own?

April 10th, 2010 Tania Williams View Comments

Online MLM Sales Funnel: Why Create Your Own?

There are some good reasons for creating your own Sales Funnel…

(If you need a quick recap on what a sales funnel is, how it works and what you should have in it, watch the video on this article…)

Sales Funnel: A Comprehensive Overview of the MLM Online Sales Funnel
1. Your Own Sales Funnel Ensures Differentiation

Online MLM Sales Funnel

Ensures Differentiation

If everyone is using the same system you cannot really differentiate yourself.

This goes for both your MLM replicated website as well as “generic” lead generation systems that are out there.

Remember, you are branding YOU- so everything, from your content, to your power point presentations, to your lead capture pages, your emails, your webinars etc should make YOU stand out amongst the crowd.

It’s your unique angle and selling proposition and personality and story that needs to come through.

YOU are selling YOU!

If you use the same lead capture pages as all the other distributors in your MLM, whats to make you different?

Same applies to your affiliate programmes.

(You can still use their capture pages, but make sure you have captured the lead onto your list via your system FIRST before sending them to your affiliate lead capture page)

2. With  a customised sales funnel you are able to target your Niche Market with a good market to message “fit”.

Online MLM Sales Funnel

Lazer Focus Your Message to your Target Market

Having the ability to communicate in all your content, your lead capture pages, sales pages and your follow up emails gives you the ability to lazer focus your message.

Your lazer focused message can be targeted at a different target market, a different age group, a group with a different set of demographics and interests (reducing competition) and ensuring your message “hits the spot”.

You can start to dominate a smaller niche and have many more successes.

Rather be a big fish in a little pond than a small fish in the ocean!

For example instead of talking to all people suffering from constipation (broad target market) you could look at sub niches within that market (constipation in infants) and customise your message to fit those specific needs.

Your message will have alot more punch as it will speak directly to the needs of parents with infants suffering from constipation. You’ll also become a respected specialist in this niche and the solutions you provide will be exactly what your target audience is looking for.

3. Your Own Sales Funnel will allow you to add your own unique spin, personality and “value add” to your business (especially your MLM).

When you combine your MLM with your own personality, skill set, additional products and services and interests- you are creating your own Unique Selling Proposition. (USP).

A USP (“Unique Selling Proposition”) is your service or product’s most powerful benefit, in combination with a strong, unique aspect of your business.

It answers that critical question…

“Why should I buy from (or hire) you?”

Here’s a simple exercise to help you develop your USP…

STEP 1) Write down what your business provides.

STEP 2) Outline the key benefit(s) to your client. What pain does it cure, what solution does it provide?

STEP 3) Identify your unique feature/benefit. What makes you stand out? Keep working on this until you can clearly separate yourself from the field. There must be a convincing reason for doing business with you… instead of your competitor.

STEP 4) Summarize all of the above into one tight, powerful, motivating phrase that will persuade your clients to do business with you, to trade their money for the benefits you deliver.

Your goal is to deliver specific and high-value information to your niche audience. You also need to position yourself uniquely (have your own angle of approach!).

Having your own sales funnel allows you to create  this specific and high value content and give exact solutions to your target audience with a unique approach or spin (angle) that “hooks” them!

Note: Your blog or personal website will do this pre selling for you.

So will your articles and other content you post.

There is no need to mention your company products or services at all (in fact you are actually not allowed to mention your MLM).

But at every point along the funnel- from the blog, to the lead capture page, to the sales page and to the autoresponder email series you will speak with your own “voice”.

4. Your own Sales Funnel will give you TOTAL control of your own list.

Online MLM Sales Funnel

Own Your List

You in fact own the list.

You can communicate what you want and when you want to.

You can sell other products and services to them they might be interested in.

(Not just your MLM products, or that affiliate owner’s products).

5. Your Own Sales Funnel will help you to be indexed by the Search Engines

Online mLM Sales Funnel

Get Google Rankings

Google (and people) love sites that are relevant and unique.

They do not index replicated MLM sites or generic lead capture pages.

If you have your own self hosted blog or website, Google will index it and return it to people making searches for the keywords you use on your pages.

(This is a POWERFUL lead source as you will get targeted traffic!)

Your company replicated website will not be indexed on Google.

It is seen as SPAM- clogging up the search engines databases.

Remember there are as many of those websites as there are distributors within your MLM.

Google certainly cannot return 30 000 of the same website everytime those keywords are typed in!

Your human visitors also like unique websites.

Think about it: Would you join a faceless, personality-less site or a site that is unique and brings across the real person behind the business?

Remember- people join people, not faceless sites.

People need to IDENTIFY with the person they are following and get the feeling that that person “gets them”  and understands their troubles and can help them.

The MLM Online Sales Funnel is explained in detail here.

Squeeze Pages: Vital Component of MLM Marketing Systems

September 30th, 2009 Tania Williams View Comments

Squeeze Pages are a really important part of your MLM Marketing Systems Strategy Online

squeeze_page

Whether you are new to internet marketing or have been around for some time, you’ve probably realised that having a good Squeeze Page within your MLM Marketing System, is vital to your online success.

The sole purpose of squeeze pages (also known as Lead Capture Pages, landing pages or gateway pages) is to get your
prospect’s personal contact information.

MLM Marketing Systems, when done correctly will drive loads of targeted traffic to your squeeze pages-
where the prospect is compelled to fill out the form and submit their name, email and perhaps phone number.

This is where they become a lead and get added to your list and MLM marketing system.

The MLM marketing system should be designed to move that lead smoothly down the funnel to either sift themselves out of the process, or become buyers in ever increasing frequency and quantity!

How do prospects find your squeeze pages?

Prospects are driven to your squeeze Pages through your online marketing efforts.

These can include Ezine articles, Blogs,Video Marketing, Pay-Per-Click ads, social networking sites – and much much
more.

Once a reader lands on a marketing piece and clicks on one of your squeeze Page URL’s
(which are placed at a strategic point in your piece),they are taken to your squeeze page where they can opt
in.

You want to obviously get the highest possible conversion rate- i.e. a high percentage of people that land on your
landing page, actually fill in the form to get on your list, in order to get more information from you.

And, the list, my friends, is the greatest asset you can have. It’s the MLM equivalent of a store owner’s inventory.

Squeeze Pages: The importance of the list:

The list is far more than just your list of MLM customers or distributors….it is your list of prospects with
whom you build a relationship over time (whether they buy your MLM products/opportunity or not).

These are people interested in hearing from you, and when the time is right, doing business with you.

You see, people are not interested in your company or it’s products. They are really looking for solutions.

In Network Marketing, one of our target market’s (people we attract to our site) is people looking at
network marketing as a solution to their need to control their financial future.

They are looking for a leader and a system that can show them how to achieve this.

So, your Squeeze Page for MLM needs to be “blind”.

That means no company logo, no graphics and no company pitches!

In this way, you keep control of your list (independent of your company) and you do not violate
MLM company policies.

You also market your system’s ability to deliver the longed for solutions.

Your MLM Marketing system should be set up so that once your prospects opt into your list, they are automatically
loaded into your autoresponder and from there, the system will drip pre- written emails onto them.

This builds a solid relationship with your prospects over time.

Email marketing is a topic for another article, and is an art of its
own.

Remember, a personal autoresponder account builds your own list (whereas the company autoresponder builds the
company’s list- which is only one element of your business).

Squeeze Page Recommendations

Below are some important things to bear in mind when creating your squeeze pages:

1. No company pitches or trademarks
2. Talk about the benefits of the product/opportunity
3. Use only 1 navigation link…its the SUBMIT/ACTION button
4.Write effective direct response copy that compels people to opt in
5.Know what the key benefit is of your product/opportunity….that is important to your target group…
solve their problem!
6. Give them an incentive (ethical bribe) to fill out the form (e.g a single free report, a free 5 mini email series, an
audio interview, a video training series)
7. Keep the form small (3-5 fields of data)
8. Keep your Squeeze Page the right size – above the fold (if viewers have to scrolling down to opt in, it reduces
conversions)
9. Register a domain name that matches the subject matter of your squeeze Page
10.No fancy graphics- sites without fancy graphics do better than those with.

There’s a whole lot more on this subject in my complete course Put Your MLM Biz Online.

The Squeeze Page Section Covers:

  • planning your lead capture page,
  • your “hook”,
  • your ethical bribe,
  • adding video to your squeeze page,
  • how to create the opt in form that links to your autoresponder,
  • how to create free lead capture pages,
  • how to use an HTML editor and FTP Client to send your squeeze pages to your private hosting account
  • being authentic in your copywriting
  • lots more!

Blogging for Dummies: Blogging With WordPress

I called this post Blogging for Dummies because I am a techno dummy!

I am not very technical at all and the thought of setting up a WordPress Blog from scratch, had me scared.

I procrastinated and made excuses, until eventually I decided to tackle the project.

And, I found out its actually not that hard to do! Especially if you have someone to show you how to do it!! I enjoyed the process so much, I decided to “pay it forward” and teach other (technically challenged people) how to do it!

Blogging for Dummies: A Couple of Pointers here for Setting up Your WordPress Blog

This is your Central Hub, your home. Its a place to send prospects, generate leads and connect interested people to your “money Pages”

I talk about this at length in the Article on Sales Funnels.

The posts, in the centre of your blog is where you put all the good, fresh content.

The sidebars, headers and footers, is where you can link or send people to your lead Capture pages, sales pages or affiliate products/services.

It’s a great place to develope your “attractive character” and build a strong relationship with your prospects.

If you use video, they’ll like you better faster!! (Just a hint there!)

Make sure you are CONSISTENT when writing on your blog.

Getting traffic does not happen overnight.

It takes a while for blog posts to rank on the search engines, so keep going, writing 3- 5 posts a week and very soon, provided you set up and configure your blog properly and write enlightening, educational and entertaining content (key word optimized, of course)… you’ll be pulling leads solidly and consistently!

Blogging for Dummies: WordPress Tips

1. Host it on your own private hosting account (I recommend Hostgator).

You want to have complete control over your blog, not have it cancelled. Don’t get confused: There’s the WordPress Script, which is the script you will install on your private hosting account.

And then there’s WordPress.com which is a free hosting account you can use for your blog- but as I said, I wouldn’t recommend it because then you don’t really have control over your blog.

I have heard of people who’ve had their blogs removed by WordPress.com- simply because they were in an MLM. (WordPress.com does not like MLMers!!)

2. Be consistent. Write 3-5 posts per day.

3. Create and develop an attractive character. Make it personal, fun and enlightening. Show people who you are. Use video and pictures alot.

4. Make sure you know which plugins to install, which search engines to ping and how to configure your blog correctly for maximum search engine rankings.

5. Understand the “silo” structure of WordPress Blogs. Create categories (silos) or “mini sites” that focus on a theme or topic within and under your broader niche topic. So, if your blog is on “Constipation in Toddlers”, one of your silos (categories) might be “Food for Toddlers with Constipation” and another one might be “Helping Your Toddler Understand Constipation”.

You’d generally like to have 5-7 of these major silos. These will become static pages with flagship articles on them.
Under each category will be your smaller blog posts, related to (and internally linking back to)the static pages (flagship articles). These will be your posts focused on long tailed keywords, that you can “win” easily and that generate traffic to your site FAST!

You should aim for 10-15 smaller blog posts per category (silo).

I have designed a course covering all of these concepts.

It takes you by the hand with training videos and step by step instructions (in a written work book) on how to set up your wordpress blog.

Help Me Figure Out My Domain Name: Web Site Name Search and Choosing the Right Domain Name

September 22nd, 2009 Tania Williams View Comments

domain name registrationWhen I started online I remember asking the question “Help Me Figure Out My Domain Name”!

I was doing a web site  name search and I was really wanting to choosing the right domain name.

Although I was a complete newbie, I intuitively knew that to figure out the right domain name was an important part of my marketing strategy, (although I wasn’t sure exactly what the “right domain name” was!)

Do I use my own name for my web site name, or something related to the niche I’m in? After all people remember names and its good for branding….but what about the spiders- how do they index websites and do domain names carry any weight in this process?

If you’re looking to build an  MLM Online Sales Funnel, you will, at some point, be doing a web site name search.

Here are three things I found out when trying to answer the question “Help Me Figure out my Domain Name”:

1. Before you start with your marketing make your web address (Domain name) talk to your Target Market:

When you start marketing, it’s important to always be clear who your target market is. Your marketing pieces
will reflect your web address. It’s one of the first things your prospect will see.
It’s very important to use the correct email address and web address.

What is the correct address? It’s an address that talks to your target market. Using your own name in your web site URL won’t rank you as high with the search engines as using a URL related to your niche market.

It’s also important of course, exactly what you put in your content, what you put in your emails and the whole way you frame the conversation.

This is a whole topic for another discussion which I am not going to go into now.

Click here for more on email marketing.

Just know for now that in all your marketing you must talk to your target market. Ask yourself:

“Who am I going to attract?

Is it potential Network marketers interested in your network marketing business opportunity?

Is it people or potential MLM customers interested in your MLM products- like for example- hair loss, cellulite, health and nutrition or anti aging and skincare?

If you are in Network Marketing, you will probably want to attract both product customers for your primary MLM and Network Marketers who might want to join your company to run a home based business.

These two groups are examples of different target markets and when you market, you can’t mix the two.

There’s a whole lot more on MLM Lead Generation and how to attract the right prospects to you, but for starters, just take note that you shouldn’t have a web address with skincare in it if you are attracting network marketing business builders!

It’s simply not professional.

In the same way, you can’t use a web address that has anything to do with MLM, business or Network Marketing in it, when you are trying to attract a target market for your skin care product.

Rather use a domain name related to the topic of interest for that particular market. So if you are attracting
a target market interested in skin care, anti aging and anti wrinkles, you will have a lot more pull if you use
a domain name like www.antiwrinkleguide.com for example, and an email address like sally@antiwrinkleguide.com.

If you are attracting Network Marketers, you might use a domain name like www.MLMsuccessguide.com

You might want to eventually have two target markets, and that’s great- but as a beginner, it will be better to focus on one,get some momentum going with that and then after that, use the knowledge you have gained to market and focus on the second and third target market.

Always be clear that your domain name is aligned with the target market you are attracting.

Once again: The simple answer to “Help me Figure Out my Domain Name” is to let your domain name talk to your target market.

2. Get a unique URL to forward to your affiliate links:

When you promote an affiliate lead capture page or product for example the Renegade University,
Renegade Network Marketer or Magnetic Sponsoring you will have an affiliate or sub URL.

For example, mine is www.taniawilliams.marketingmerge.com

This is my affiliate lead capture link with the Renegade University, that I want prospects to come to.

Different aspects of my marketing will refer people here so that they can fill out the form and become one of my
leads who might eventually monetize, join my MLM etc.

The unique URL or domain name that I used, that I purchased myself, I use when advertising my affiliate link is
www.getprospectsformula.com. See how much more professional that looks!

The same holds true for when you become an affiliate marketer for any tools/products you might promote.

For example I am an affiliate of SBI (Site Build It offers unique websites for Network Marketers).

One of my SBI affiliate links that I promote is http://www.sitesell.com/Tania4.html. If any of my prospects
click on that link and go on to buy the SBI product, I get an affiliate commission.

Instead of promoting SBI via the http://www.sitesell.com/Tania4.html link,I use www.bestMLMwebsite.com to
direct prospects to my SBI affiliate link, to make it look more professional.

It’s cheap to buy a domain name (under $10/year) and well worth it.

You can pick one up at Go Daddy (one of the most reputable and competitive domain registrar online)

www.GoDaddy.com

When you have a domain name that you promote that forwards to your affiliate Lead Capture Page or link,
it’s a lot more professional in your prospects eyes and will bring more results from the search engines.

Here’s another good reason to have a domain name:

If you want to promote a different Lead Capture Page in the future, you don’t have to go back to every place on
the internet where you placed your link, and change it. All you need to do is log in to the place where you
bought your original domain name, and have your same domain name forwarded to the new location you want to
advertise.

3. Have a corresponding URL and Email Address

If you purchased a domain name like www.MLMsuccessguide.com, for example, you should also get an email address with that domain name…for example sally@MLMsuccessGuide.com. This is much better than
sally@gmail.com/hotmail.com/yahoo.com/aol.com.

It’s lot more professional.

An email address with your own domain name in it shows solidity and groundedness. It shows you have put a lot
of thought and planning into it. It shows that you are here for business, that you are not flighty or temporary.
After you have bought a domain name, call/email the customer support service for that company and they will help you set up your email address.

You will also need to configure it to work with your Microsoft Outlook Email Programme.

So remember these three things when you start marketing:

1. Have your own unique domain name that really talks to your target market.

2. Use domain name masking or forwarding to mask affiliate URL’s.

3. Get a corresponding email address to your web address.

This is the advice from SBI’s Action Day Guide
“Your domain name should answer, in very few words and hopefully with just a touch of character, two critical
questions about your Site Concept…

  • What specific and high-value information does your site deliver?
  • What is your unique positioning for this delivery (i.e., your angle of approach)

Include your Niche target market/Site Concept keyword and add the “marketing angle/theme” to it.

Make your concept crystal-clear to your human visitor.

And, of course, the engines rank your site a touch higher when your Site Concept keyword is included in your
domain name — so feed it to the spiders!

Remember both types of visitors… Spiders and Humans

  • Register a Search-Engine-friendly domain name, one that contains your Site Concept keyword. That’s the

easy part.

  • To the Site Concept part of the domain name, add a word (or two) that communicates your unique

positioning/marketing angle. If it can catch the “voice” (“attitude”), that’s even better (but hard to do while keeping it short).”
