MLM Sales Funnel: Important Components

April 10th, 2010 Tania Williams View Comments

MLM Sales Funnel: Components

Here are the major components:

1. Your Domain Name

2. Squeeze Page

3. Sales Page (Optional) Some MLM companies WILL NOT allow you to name their Company or Products. Your “sales page ” might be the emails you send out. You’d use a sales page when promoting affiliate or your own products, not your MLM products.

4. Blog/Website (self hosted and unique)

5. Autoresponder Email System

6. Web of Content  (including videos)- for traffic generation (the bait that attracts the fish!)

1. Domain Name
Its best to get the .com! Go Daddy is a good option to register your domain name.

Use a keyword rich domain name with a benefit in it that talks to your target market. For example www.sinus-wellness.com talks to the target market of sinusitus, and has the benefit made very clear within the domain name.

Other benefit loaded domain name examples are: www.positivehealth.com, www.skin-you-love.com, www.videomarketingqueen.com, www.ppcdomination.com, www.getprospectsformula.com…you get the idea.

Register your domain for 2 years (renewable). Google ranks these domains higher than 1 year domain registrations (it assumes you are a more serious business person- in for the long haul!)

Read this article on choosing and registering the right domain name.

2.  Lead Capture Pages

This is the entry point of your online MLM sales funnel. Your prospects details are captured here  so you can continue the relationship with them.

www.blinkweb.com and www.weebly.com are two excellent easy-to-use, and FREE resources to create capture pages.

Ideally you’d want to use self-hosted lead capture pages (Google indexes these and you can track using Google analytics).

For that you’ll need to use an html editor (www.Nvu.com is a free tool) and FTP your files up from your computer to your host server,  using an FTP client like Filezilla.

You’ll need to learn a bit of coding.

If you’re not keen to do that (and I don’t blame you!)- find a geek and outsource it!

Remember: If you use a free service like Blinkweb or Weebly, you’ll need to REDIRECT your domain name to that server, where they host your lead capture page.

If you use your own hosting, you’ll just add your unique domain name to your C Panel. (In your public_html folder)

You can have many capture pages for different sub niches (or micro niches) within your niche. This is a good idea, as each page can be customised to that particular micro niche’s needs.

e.g. Constipation in toddlers blog post has a link to your lead capture page made for parents with toddlers having constipation.

You might give them a general free report, which also has a chapter in it on dealing with constipation in toddlers. They’ll become a lead and your auto email series can talk to their specific issues- dealing with their kids constipation.

Your “constipation in the elderly” blog post could lead them to a capture page that talks specifically to your elderly leads.

They might also get the same free report as the parents of the toddlers (above)- as it also has a chapter in it on the elderly. They will become a lead and enter your funnel. You can then tailor make your email series to their specific needs and concerns.

Both types of leads will ultimately be encouraged to buy your MLM Product (which helps relieve constipation in everyone- from toddler,to the elderly- heck, even to dogs!)

You get the idea.

You might also create a lead capture page that brings leads in that are interested in an affiliate product you are promoting.

If you like, you can then send those leads to your affiliate product sales page (your affiliate URL).

The nice thing is, you captured the lead independently of that affiliate programme- and that lead is yours (not the affiliate programme owners!)

Read this article called: Squeeze Pages: Vital Component of MLM Marketing Systems “for 10 tips On Making Cool, Authentic and Converting Squeeze pages.

Especially what you need to have on them, the do’s and dont’s and the best practices for maximum conversion.

3. Sales Pages

MLM Online Sales Funnel

The sales page comes in if you’d like your prospects to be moved from becoming a lead into a buyer.

The best time to put your prospect onto a sales page is immediately after they become a lead (opted in).

You have their attention and they’ve just said “yes” to you by giving their name and email address.

You’d usually not make a sales page about your MLM products/services.

Some MLM companies give generic (customisable) squeeze page, sales page and mini site templates.

Once again- beware: You’ll look similar to the others and Google wont index them.

You also need to ask yourself: “Will I be able to track these pages?”

The sales page is really useful when you have your own products/services that you are promoting as part of your funnel.

So in addition to seeing your MLM Company or products as a potential back end, you are also able to offer your leads related products they might be interested in.  (like E book, coaching services, home study course, webinars, membership sites etc).

Of course, the secret to a good sales page is the copy and the ability to have a  “1 click upsell”.

Your copy must be compelling enough to get those “fence sitters” to take action.

We go into good copywriting in this blog in much greater detail.

Re the “1 click upsell”- this means you need to have an integrated payment gateway/shopping basket that allows your customers to simply add items to their cart (with one click) after you’ve presented them with an upsell (higher priced item than your first offer).

This way they don’t have to enter their credit card details again- (which lowers conversions.)

Other aspects of your sales page should include:

* Bonuses,
* testimonials,
* proof (of the claims you’ve made) and
* a money back guarantee  always gives an added “push” to the buyer-  reducing their risk and removing any lingering obstacles to buying.

Using a video makes the sales page convert more.

4. Your  Blog

Online MLM Sales Funnel

This is your “home” or central hub.

Its where your prospects get to know you and get to like you.

Most prospects will visit your blog before they opt into your squeeze page or make a purchase from your sales page. It’s where they get “warmed up”!

Its also a stand alone lead generation technique- as blogs are indexed by Google.

If you get your  niche keywords right, you can rank high up for blog posts and generate search engine traffic.

You can also syndicate your blog (plug it into the social networks) for more exposure and get viral exposure that way too! WordPress blogs are ideally suited to this.

There are many blog platforms (Squarespace, Blogger etc), but a self hosted WordPress blog is the best for search engine rankings as well as content syndication.

You can get free hosting at WordPress.com for your WordPress blog, but then you don’t have full control over the blog.

WordPress can delete your blog if they think its inappropriate- and they do not like MLM Blogs!

Its well worth the $6.95 (or thereabouts) monthly hosting fee you’ll pay to privately host your blog at webhosting services like Hostgator or Bluehost.

For those just starting out, you might enjoy this article Blogging For Dummies which outlines the basics of WordPress Blogging.

5. Autoresponder Email Marketing System

MLM Online Sales Funnel

Email Marketing

This is where you use email software to send automated (and manual) email messages to your leads and buyers.

Once your prospcet has entered the sales funnel as a lead, they can be immediately placed onto your leads list.

They have given you permission to continue marketing to them.

So you send them pre designed auto emails (and weekly time sensitive manual emails) that:

* Continue to build the relationship with them

* Send them to your blog posts

* Put offers infront of them (including your affiliate and MLM products)

* Invite them to conference calls or webinars you offer

* Keeps you visible and in the prospects mind

Its an invaluable follow up tool, but there’s an art to email marketing.

It must be studied and done correctly so that you do not get flagged as a spammer or have your prospects unsubscribe.

Constantly placing offers in front of your leads and buyers will not endear them to you! You need to be entertaining, enlightening and educational (i.e. give value) in your emails.

I-contact, Oprius and Aweber are excellent software programmes. They start at around $9.95 per month and increase in price the more subscribers you have.

(You want to be paying more!!!)

I personally use I contact because you do not need a double opt in, to generate a lead on your list. (Improves conversions)

The great thing about these software programmes is you can go into your email software back office and easily create opt in forms to put on your squeeze page and blog.

When a prospect visits your blog and optsin, they are automatically put onto your emailing list- and if you’ve set up your autoresponder, they’ll start getting their emails immediately, at timed intervals.

You can also track the number of opens, clicks and bounces.

This way you can continually test new subject headlines to improve your open rate.

The Email Marketing section of this blog includes what to write in your emails, how often to write, when to place offers (and how), how to set up an autoresponder series and what you should and should not be doing in your email campaigns.

And much much more, of course!

6. Your “web of content” to drive traffic to your Sales Funnel

MLM Online Sales Funnel

Traffic Traffic Traffic!

There’s no point having an online MLM sales funnel if you cannot get traffic to it!

And not only traffic, but pre qualified traffic- people interested in what you have to offer.

Your web of content is your “point of contact” marketing.

Its where your prospect will come across an article, or a forum post, a video or a blog post, or a note at your FaceBook, or your URL posted at Twitter (retweeted) and be led ultimately to your capture page (perhaps via your blog).

There are many methods and places to place your content all over the internet so that your interested prospects find you.

Here are some examples:

Article Marketing

Squidoo

Hub Pages

Ezine Articles

Your Blog

Social Media Marketing

FaceBook

Twitter

YouTube

Social Bookmarking sites like Digg, Delicious, Reddit, Stumbleupon, Misterwong

LinkedIn

And Content Syndication is where you link up all your content and disperse your blog posts across all the major social media marketing sites!

There is an art and a skill to getting qualified online traffic to your sales funnel.

Online MLM Sales Funnel: Why Create Your Own?

April 10th, 2010 Tania Williams View Comments

Online MLM Sales Funnel: Why Create Your Own?

There are some good reasons for creating your own Sales Funnel…

(If you need a quick recap on what a sales funnel is, how it works and what you should have in it, watch the video on this article…)

Sales Funnel: A Comprehensive Overview of the MLM Online Sales Funnel
1. Your Own Sales Funnel Ensures Differentiation

Online MLM Sales Funnel

Ensures Differentiation

If everyone is using the same system you cannot really differentiate yourself.

This goes for both your MLM replicated website as well as “generic” lead generation systems that are out there.

Remember, you are branding YOU- so everything, from your content, to your power point presentations, to your lead capture pages, your emails, your webinars etc should make YOU stand out amongst the crowd.

It’s your unique angle and selling proposition and personality and story that needs to come through.

YOU are selling YOU!

If you use the same lead capture pages as all the other distributors in your MLM, whats to make you different?

Same applies to your affiliate programmes.

(You can still use their capture pages, but make sure you have captured the lead onto your list via your system FIRST before sending them to your affiliate lead capture page)

2. With  a customised sales funnel you are able to target your Niche Market with a good market to message “fit”.

Online MLM Sales Funnel

Lazer Focus Your Message to your Target Market

Having the ability to communicate in all your content, your lead capture pages, sales pages and your follow up emails gives you the ability to lazer focus your message.

Your lazer focused message can be targeted at a different target market, a different age group, a group with a different set of demographics and interests (reducing competition) and ensuring your message “hits the spot”.

You can start to dominate a smaller niche and have many more successes.

Rather be a big fish in a little pond than a small fish in the ocean!

For example instead of talking to all people suffering from constipation (broad target market) you could look at sub niches within that market (constipation in infants) and customise your message to fit those specific needs.

Your message will have alot more punch as it will speak directly to the needs of parents with infants suffering from constipation. You’ll also become a respected specialist in this niche and the solutions you provide will be exactly what your target audience is looking for.

3. Your Own Sales Funnel will allow you to add your own unique spin, personality and “value add” to your business (especially your MLM).

When you combine your MLM with your own personality, skill set, additional products and services and interests- you are creating your own Unique Selling Proposition. (USP).

A USP (“Unique Selling Proposition”) is your service or product’s most powerful benefit, in combination with a strong, unique aspect of your business.

It answers that critical question…

“Why should I buy from (or hire) you?”

Here’s a simple exercise to help you develop your USP…

STEP 1) Write down what your business provides.

STEP 2) Outline the key benefit(s) to your client. What pain does it cure, what solution does it provide?

STEP 3) Identify your unique feature/benefit. What makes you stand out? Keep working on this until you can clearly separate yourself from the field. There must be a convincing reason for doing business with you… instead of your competitor.

STEP 4) Summarize all of the above into one tight, powerful, motivating phrase that will persuade your clients to do business with you, to trade their money for the benefits you deliver.

Your goal is to deliver specific and high-value information to your niche audience. You also need to position yourself uniquely (have your own angle of approach!).

Having your own sales funnel allows you to create  this specific and high value content and give exact solutions to your target audience with a unique approach or spin (angle) that “hooks” them!

Note: Your blog or personal website will do this pre selling for you.

So will your articles and other content you post.

There is no need to mention your company products or services at all (in fact you are actually not allowed to mention your MLM).

But at every point along the funnel- from the blog, to the lead capture page, to the sales page and to the autoresponder email series you will speak with your own “voice”.

4. Your own Sales Funnel will give you TOTAL control of your own list.

Online MLM Sales Funnel

Own Your List

You in fact own the list.

You can communicate what you want and when you want to.

You can sell other products and services to them they might be interested in.

(Not just your MLM products, or that affiliate owner’s products).

5. Your Own Sales Funnel will help you to be indexed by the Search Engines

Online mLM Sales Funnel

Get Google Rankings

Google (and people) love sites that are relevant and unique.

They do not index replicated MLM sites or generic lead capture pages.

If you have your own self hosted blog or website, Google will index it and return it to people making searches for the keywords you use on your pages.

(This is a POWERFUL lead source as you will get targeted traffic!)

Your company replicated website will not be indexed on Google.

It is seen as SPAM- clogging up the search engines databases.

Remember there are as many of those websites as there are distributors within your MLM.

Google certainly cannot return 30 000 of the same website everytime those keywords are typed in!

Your human visitors also like unique websites.

Think about it: Would you join a faceless, personality-less site or a site that is unique and brings across the real person behind the business?

Remember- people join people, not faceless sites.

People need to IDENTIFY with the person they are following and get the feeling that that person “gets them”  and understands their troubles and can help them.

Magnetic Sponsoring Affiliate

March 22nd, 2010 Tania Williams View Comments

Today, I want to talk about being a Magnetic Sponsoring Affiliate.

In the previous article on “What is Affiliate Network Marketing?” we talked about what affiliate network marketing is and how to use it in your MLM sales funnel.

If you’re wondering what the heck an affiliate is, then go read that article.

Okay, back to our regularly scheduled blog post.

Magnetic Sponsoring- The E-book

In order to be a Magnetic Sponsoring Affiliate you must purchase Magnetic Sponsoring.

Now, you some of you might be thinking that Mike Dillard is trapping you to buy his product in order to become a “Magnetic Sponsoring Affiliate”.

When, in reality the affiliate program is a bonus to the Magnetic Sponsoring e-book.

In my opinion you shouldn’t try to sell a prospect something you (or someone who has your respect) hasn’t tried out or read.

You may be thinking, okay Tania, why should I buy Magnetic Sponsoring?

Well – here’s why:

1.    It is a great training manual on attraction marketing.

1.    It has 10 chapters full of good introduction to attraction marketing information.

2.    Mike Dillard begins by telling you his story and then he teaches you what he learned to become the very successful and well respected businessman he is today.

3.    He also gives you four bonuses including the Magnetic Sponsoring Affiliate Program.

Magnetic Sponsoring Affiliate Program

Here’s what you get as a Magnetic Sponsoring Affiliate.

The coolest part of the affiliate program (at least to me) is that you can promote any of the Magnetic Sponsoring products.

You don’t have to buy every product in order to promote it (Although, you probably will as it’s good stuff.).

They give you a landing page.
(Don’t know what that is? Then, you’d better go read this article ====> “Squeeze Pages: Vital component of MLM Marketing Systems)

The landing page offers your lead a 7 day Video Bootcamp on attraction marketing in return for their name and email.

The lead’s information is then listed in the Magnetic Sponsoring back office, where you can download it and begin to build your list.

After they submit their information, the lead is taken to the sales page where they can choose to go ahead and order the e-book for $39.95 (at the time of this writing).

If they attempt to leave the page (as of this writing), a window pops up an offers a 1$ 10 day trial offer.

They can cancel at any time during that period. If they don’t, on the 11th day they are billed the remaining $38.95.

The course comes with a 12 months guarantee.

The Magnetic Sponsoring team has put together banners for you to use.

They have also given you example articles and other marketing tools and resources for you to use.

They were doing training shows using Ustream, but one hasn’t been posted since November of 2009.

I have only one complaint with the magnetic sponsoring affiliate program.

They haven’t had regularly scheduled affiliate training.

If you want to learn more about how to use the any affiliate program within your sales funnel, check out the related blogs section below and, of course, you can join the

“Savvy MLMers” Club.

What is Affiliate Network Marketing?

Ann Sieg: Ann Sieg’s The Renegade System

March 16th, 2010 Tania Williams View Comments

What can Ann Sieg do for you? Well, she and her Renegade System can help you make money.

Now right about now you probably have 3 questions:
Who’s Ann Sieg?
What’s Ann Sieg’s The Renegade System?
How can The Renegade System help me make money?

Well, I’m going to tell you.

“Ann Sieg” is a network marketer who got extremely fed up with prospecting friends, family, and strangers into her network marketing program.

She knew there had to be a better way, so she went looking for it. Ann Sieg didn’t find her solution in one place. She researched marketing and sales.

Ann Sieg learned that she could attract prospects to her (Attraction Marketing). But she didn’t find any of this in her company’s materials or in any resource for network marketers.

So she decided to write her own. Ann first released a free ebook called, “The 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing”. Then she released, “The Renegade Network Marketer”.

If you buy, “The Renegade Network Marketer”, you are then eligible to sign up as an affiliate and you have access to “The Renegade System”.

You could easily use “The Renegade System” as one of your network marketing affiliate programs in your business plan.

Okay, I’ve told you about Ann Sieg. Now, I’ll tell you about her Renegade System.

The Renegade System is a full blown funded proposal already set up for you. All the hard work is already done. All you need to do is send traffic.

You don’t know what a funded proposal is? Then you had better read and watch “Conceptualise Your Sales Funnel: Full Length Video Training”

The Sales Funnel starts with a free report either, “The 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing” by Ann Sieg or “The Attraction Marketers Manifesto” by Ann Sieg.
You send your lead to the lead capture page of either free report.

What’s a lead capture page? Check out, “Squeeze Pages: Vital Component of MLM Marketing Systems”

(Lead capture pages and squeeze pages are different words for the same thing.)

When your mlm email lead, enters their information they will be given a chance to try “The Renegade Network Marketer” by Ann Sieg for a 1 dollar trial. Believe it or not, but you actually get a commission from the sale of the trial. It’s 50 cents.

If your mlm lead says

“no” then they are entered into the Renegade follow up email series. Your affiliate link is placed into these emails. You still get credit if they buy from the emails ($33.50).

If your lead says “yes”  and opts to buy “The Renegade Network Marketer” by Ann Sieg, then they are offered the “Renegade Professional” membership. If they opt in to join Renegade Professional”, you will earn an additional $20 a month as long as they keep the membership.

Then, your lead is offered an upsell for the hard cover version of “The Renegade Network Marketer” which includes 5 CDs. Yes means you make an additional $48.50.

A no will give your lead a chance to buy the audios. You would then make $23.50 on the sale of the audios.

Then, no matter if your lead says “yes” or “no” they will be offered the “Renegade Breakthrough Home Study Course”.

A yes to the course gets you an additional $158.80.

Earlier I mentioned that you could use “The Renegade System” as a network marketing affiliate program within your business plan.

You could add your affiliate link to your thank you page. (What’s a thank you page and how do I add an affiliate? Go read Network Marketing Affiliate Program: Adding Affiliate Products to Your MLM Sales Funnel.

You could suggest that your downline read one of the free reports or to purchase “The Renegade Network Marketer”.

You could recommend one of Ann Sieg’s books in your blog or send an email to your list.

There are many ways that you can use “The Renegade System” as a network marketing affiliate program in your business plan and sales funnel.

Want more information of how to Put Your MLM Biz Online and create many of the concepts I’ve talked about in this post? Then, join the Savvy MLMers club and get your free CD.

What is Affiliate Network Marketing?

Magnetic Sponsoring Affiliate

What is Affiliate Network Marketing?

March 10th, 2010 Tania Williams View Comments

Affiliate Network Marketing is the internet version of giving someone a finder’s fee for generating a customer.

In affiliate network marketing, as well as, the offline line version of giving some a finder’s fee, there are 2 ways in which you can get paid.

1) You can earn a percentage of the sale when the customer you referred to a business purchases a product or a service.

2) You can get a flat fee when giving the business a lead.

However, in “affiliate network marketing” you can also get paid in a third way- i.e.  pay-per-click.

Let me give you an example of each.

Let’s say you are promoting my affiliate product “Put Your MLM Biz Online”. When, someone you refer buys the product, you get almost 30% of the purchase price.

Another way you can make money in a network marketing affiliate program is when you refer someone to a business, and as that business gets their contact information (aka a lead), you could collect a fee.

A final way you can make money in an affiliate network marketing is pay-per-click.

The most famous is Google Adsense.

Google Adsense is when you allow Google to place ads on your website. When those ads get clicked on, you are then paid a fee.

The most popular and probably the most lucrative version in affiliate network marketing is the commission one.

If you sell high end products with high end price tags that match, you could end up earning hundreds of dollars for each sale.

In order to incorporate a network marketing affiliate program into your MLM sales funnel, you must consider products that are complimentary to your MLM.

For example, if you are marketing to business builders, my product “Put Your MLM Biz Online” would fill a need of some business builders who do not know how to generate traffic, leads and sales online.

Here’s another example:

Say you are marketing to potential customers who are interested in your MLM product:

For example- you are marketing a skin care cream to reduce wrinkles.

You could find an e-book on ClickBank.com (or other affiliate program marketplaces, like PayDotCom.com) that discusses how to care for your skin- so that you reduce the chance of getting wrinkles in the first place.

You’d put this inside your sales funnel, so that when your prospect enters the funnel, they’re exposed to this e book.

You want to make sure that when you add affiliate network marketing to your sales funnel,  that you start with a relatively inexpensive product.

It is always easier to sell an inexpensive product than a more expensive one.

When you have gained your customer’s trust and given them a lot of value, then you can suggest a more expensive product or service.  (Like buying your actual MLM products or joining your MLM company).

PYMBO shows you exactly how to integrate affiliate Network Marketing with your MLM sales funnel, so you can build a list and earn upfront income before anyone even joins your MLM company!

In this blog post we discussed what affiliate network marketing is and I gave you some examples of how you could add a network marketing affiliate program to your funnel.

Network Marketing Affiliate Program: Adding Affiliate Products to Your MLM Sales Funnel Part Two: MLM Products

March 9th, 2010 Tania Williams View Comments

In our last post in this series, Network Marketing Affiliate Program: Adding Affiliate Products to Your MLM Sales Funnel Part One” we explained why you want to add network marketing affiliate program products to your sales funnel when concentrating on MLM business builders.

In this article, we will discuss adding “network marketing affiliate products” to your MLM sales funnel when focusing on selling your MLM product.

Remember, you don’t want to promote all of your products. Just pick one product and one problem it solves.

For example: you sell a skin cream and it does everything from getting rid of dry skin to erasing wrinkles. Pick one problem and concentrate on informing your target market about that one condition.

So you may have gathered your lead’s email and name by offering a free interview with a skin specialist on wrinkles. They opted in to their list and your thank them on your thank you page.

Why not suggest an inexpensive ebook for your lead to read about wrinkles on your thank you page.

Now you are probably wondering where to find such a product. One affiliate marketplace you can search is Clinkbank.com. They are not hard to get accepted as a product seller (an affiliate) and they have 1000’s of products to choose from.

You can also Google “wrinkle + affiliate products” or “wrinkle + ebook” or some other combination to find a product to promote.

Products are everywhere and they are not hard to find.

Do you want to learn more about how to add complimentary products to your thank you pages, as well as learn how to create other parts of a successful MLM sales funnel?

Then, join the “Savvy MLMers” club where you will get weekly training and a training manual sent to you for 6 months. Want to know what is covered in the course? Then, check out our training course outline http://www.putyourmlmbizonline.com/courseoutlinevideo.php.

P.S. Do you know of additional marketplaces that you can go and find affiliate products to promote? Let us know in the comment section below.

Network Marketing Affiliate Program: Adding Affiliate Products to Your MLM Sales Funnel Part One: Business Builder Leads

March 7th, 2010 Tania Williams View Comments

Network Marketing Affiliate Program Hmmm, What’s that? That’s where you add affiliate products to your MLM  Sales Funnel.

Why would you want to add a Network Marketing Affiliate Program to your MLM Sales Funnel?

Because, quite simply, not every lead you generate will want to join your MLM. But you still want to generate some income off of them!

“Adding a Network Marketing Affiliate Program” will let you earn some cash while you are prospecting for new distributors.

Some of the leads you gather may already be in a MLM and are quite happy to be with that company. So are you just going to wait until they decide to change companies or promote an additonal MLM?

No. (Well, you could but I wouldn’t if I were you.)

Here’s how you add a network marketing affiliate program to the mix:

1.    Create a lead capture (squeeze) page, to gather leads. (What’s that? Read “Squeeze Pages: Vital Component of MLM Marketing Systems”)   You can send your MLM email leads to a thank you page.

1.    Create a  Thank You Page. A thank you page is created like a squeeze page. Most marketers who make a thank you page, just do that. Let it say thank you.

Of course you want to be polite and thank your lead, but….Do you realize that a thank you page is a valuable piece of internet real estate?

You could thank your lead, but (here’s the secret)- you can also suggest they check out a complementary product- right there on the thank you page.

For example if you are focusing on finding MLM business builders, you could suggest they purchase “Magnetic Sponsoring” by Mike Dillard.

If it was me, I’d suggest they sign up for the “7-Day Video Bootcamp”. This way they enter the “Magnetic Sponsoring” funnel as well, but they recieve some valuable information on attraction marketing using an MLM.

You gave your lead something valuable and they may very well end up buying the e-book.

One important thing to remember when choosing a product to promote on your thank you page is to pick a complementary product that has a low starting price.

People are more likely to buy a less expensive product from you the first time.

So let me ask you. Why would you want to add a Network Marketing Affiliate Program to your MLM sales funnel?

1) Most leads will not be joining you as a distributor in your company.

2) You have a valuable piece of real estate on your thank you page that you can put to good use.

3) You suggest a product (or even better the affiliate product’s bribe such as “Magnetic Sponsoring’s 7 Day Video Bootcamp”.

4) Your lead may buy that product and, therefore, make you some money.

5) If you chose your network marketing affiliate program product well, your lead will remember you as the person who recommended it to them.

So are you ready to add affiliate products to your MLM sales funnel?

Go here to see how to do it.

Let us know what you think in the comment section below. Do you already use your thank you page in this way? Tell us.

P.S. Did you like this article? If so, please tweet it to your list. Thanks!

Email Internet Marketing Strategy: Adding Custom PayPal Buttons to Your Emails

February 12th, 2010 Tania Williams View Comments

Here’s a cool email internet marketing strategy.

BUT be careful with this email internet marketing strategy. If you have not developed a relationship with your lead, they will probably quickly unsubscribe from your list.

Keeping in mind to use this “email internet marketing strategy” with caution, here it is.

Add a PayPal button to your emails you send to your MLM email lead.

• First, Login to your business PayPal account. If you don’t have one, get one.

• Then, click on the “merchant services” tab.

• Next, click on the “buy now” tab. You can choose “subscriptions” if you want people to pay you monthly.

• Fill in the “item name” box and, then (optional) fill in the “item id” box.

• Enter your price in the “price box”.

• Fill out all other information pertinent to your particular situation (s&h and tax).

• If you are adding custom PayPal buttons, go to the “Customize” box and choose which action you would like to take.

• You can add drop-down menus or even customize the appearance of the button.

• Then, click on Part 3 Customization.

There you will choose whether or not you need the address, and what url you want your customer to be automatically sent to after payment.

• You can send them to a url after they have cancelled payment as well.

• Next, copy the PayPal button code (control+c for PCs and command+c for Macs).

• Paste (control+v for PCs and command +v for Macs) onto the html page or source page of your thank you page in Kompozer.

Email Internet Marketing Strategy: How to Redirect a Web Page and Why

February 12th, 2010 Tania Williams View Comments

Here’s another cool email internet marketing strategy.

First, this post won’t make a lot of sense unless you read the first part of this two part series: Email Internet Marketing Strategy: Adding Custom PayPal Buttons to Your Emails

Did you read it? Good.

Now, I’ll teach you a new “email internet marketing strategy”: How to redirect a web page.

I can see you asking yourself, “Why would I want to redirect a web page?” and “How is this an email internet marketing strategy?”

Let me give you an example of how redirecting a web page is an “email internet marketing strategy”.

Suppose you’ve decided to offer your coaching services and you already have a list you’ve built a relationship with.

You can offer your coaching services in an email.

However, that ugly email link you created in your PayPal account (Don’t know what I’m talking about? You didn’t read this post on Email Internet Marketing Strategy: Adding Custom PayPal Buttons to Your Emails did you?) is just that…ugly.

It is also not very professional looking.

So in order to make it look professional we are going to make a redirect link using your current hosting service.

Go to your HostGator cpanel (This is my hosting service. Since it’s the one I know how to use, it’s the one I’m going to teach you).

Scroll down until you come to the Domain section. When you get there, click on the redirect icon.
First choose temporary. Then choose the domain. Grab your ugly domain and place it in the redirect to box.

Write a name in the box next to your domain. Call it the product or service you are promoting.

For example. www.southafricanrenegade.com/coaching.html. Then, click on ADD.
Now, make sure the new link you created works and goes to your PayPal button.

To do this. Go to your Autoresponder and choose a autoresponder list you want to promote this product or service to.

(If you use iContact and don’t know how to make an autoresponder, check out this post, How to use iContact Autoresponder.)

Add a new email to your selected autoresponder series. Making sure that you have created a relationship, wait at least 15 days before you send out a monetization email.

An example of an email might be:

Highlight the URL and click on the picture of the world with a link of chain. Then a window will pop up.

In the address box put your domain you highlighted earlier. This will make it live.

Then, copy the link and paste it in the your browser box. Your PayPal page from which your customer will buy from should open up.

In summary, 1) we generated the code in PayPal.

2)We grabbed the email link.

1) We went into our hostgator account.

1) We made a redirect to our PayPal Link. So that we can put the more professional looking link in the email.

1) We put the new link in our email.

You now have a more professional looking link and the good part is that these types of links have much higher conversion rates than those ugly ones.

You can use this same technique (redirecting a web page) for any of your ugly affiliate links, too.

Email Tracking System: How to use iContact’s Email Tracking System

February 4th, 2010 Tania Williams View Comments

iContact’s email tracking system is the topic for today’s post.

You’ve set up your autoresponder email messages and now know what’s the difference between broadcast and follow up messages are.

Now, it’s important to learn how to track your emails.

That way you can see how your leads are responding- are they opening your mails? Are they taking the action you want them to- like click on a link?

(if not, you need to change your subject line and improve your copywriting!)

Read this article on effective email campaigns to learn more about how to do this.

I use iContact so that is the “email tracking system” that I will teach you about.

Step One – Login in to iContact.

Step Two – Click on the tab that says, “Track”. This is iContact’s email tracking system

Step Three – Choose what you would like to track. For example, if you want to track last message then click that button. Choose full or brief report.

Look at the “Message Statistics” box. There you can see how many opens, click throughs, bounces, unsubscribes, forwards, complaints (Yikes, I hope you don’t get any of those!!), and so forth.

Further down the page, you see a graph with open, bounces and neither. This graph is a pictorial representation of the “Message Statistics” box.

To track your autoresponders, click “View Autoresponder Results”. Then click on the autoresponder you want to track.

There you will see which of your mlm email leads have opened messages, if the messages bounced, and so on.

You can also track your broadcast messages.

This is done be clicking on “View Sent Messages”. Click on the pie chart icon of the message you want to view.

You will then see bounces, opens, and so forth.

Just so you a know, a good rate of opens is about 20% to 30%.

Well, that’s how easy it is to use iContact’s email tracking system.

Here’s more on using the I Contact Sotware program.

If your autoresponder is not iContact, it should also have an email tracking system.

They should also have tutorials for you on how to use it.

Which autoresponder has the best email tracking system in your opinion? Share with us in the comments section below.
